The Little Italy Lodge OSIA #2286 Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to providing scholarships  to “famiglia” of Lodge members. Over the Scholarships’ 20 year history, the Lodge and now the Foundation  has awarded $171,500.00 to higher education institutions on behalf of our scholarship awardees,  In 2019, we awarded $12,000 in scholarships  (2 for $4,000 and 2 for $2,000). We are delighted to announce that for the Academic Year 2020-2021, we will be doubling the total to $24,000 ( 2 for $8,000 and 2 for $4,000), thanks in large part to an end of year 2019 Donation of $10,000 from The Confraternity of Saint Gabriel.

We in the Baltimore Little Italy community stand on the shoulders of giants-Mr. Guy Matricciani who made the inaugural donation over 20 years ago to get us all started and to Jerry Elliott who kept us successful and solvent for year after year. As we move forward into a new generation, we acknowledge the contributions of those who will usher us into this new era while still adhering to the principles of our founders. We wish to recognize Giovanni Alberotanza, Chair of the Foundation Board for his enormous contribution to our organization. We also express our appreciation to the Little Italy Lodge and its President Mike Castino for affording us meeting space and allowing The Foundation to host our annual fundraiser, The Taste of Italy, to be held at the Lodge on Sunday April 26, 2020.

Please help us help our kids by volunteering at The Taste of Italy, Buying a Table, Advertising in our Program Book, Donating an item for auction, or donating to our Foundation. We aspire to grow our Scholarship Foundation so we will be able to award more scholarships for more value to more of our Italian American descendants.
